WELCOME BACK! 

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new families, and welcome back our returning families and staff. The Melissa Ridge PTSO is excited about the upcoming school year! We have a lot of fun and dynamic activities and opportunities ahead of us.

I also would like to say thank you to the PTSO board. I look forward to working with all of you this school year, some for the first time. I know we will have a great year because of the dedicated and amazing volunteers we have on the PTSO.

If you are not on the PTSO board, have never volunteered before, or just have question about PTSO and volunteer opportunities, I invite you to visit the PTSO table at the Meet the Teacher night on August 23. We will be happy to answer any questions you have.

The next couple of months will be hectic for all of us. With the return to homework, after-school activities, and sports, the calendars will be full. I would encourage all of you to take the time to check our web site periodically for useful school and PTSO information.

As we know, raising money is what allows the PTSO to provide all the activities and items that enrich our students. Our largest fundraiser of the year is our annual Melissa Ridge Race. This year the race is scheduled for March 23. 2013. So mark your calendars and we hope to see you there!

With your help we are looking forward to the 2012/2013 school year being the best one ever for Melissa Ridge. If you have any ideas, comments or suggestions, we want to hear from you.
